“Yunnan and Ruyan” sheds light on the inner worlds of two characters standing face to face in a dark atmosphere, brought to life by Esra Soytürk’s powerful line work.

In this piece, dominated by tones of black, red, and purple, the expressions on the faces bear traces of either an encounter or a farewell. The emotions are complex and ambiguous; on one side, there is curiosity, while on the other, unease is felt.

The viewer not only senses the past of these two figures and the invisible bond between them but also finds a reflection of their own relationships.
